Ordering and Payment

Please note a 50% deposit is payable on all cake orders at the time of ordering. The balance is payable on collection/delivery. At present I do not have credit card facilities, so cash or cheque is preferred but I can also take PayPal. No work will begin, or materials be purchased until a cheque has cleared, or PayPal payment has been received into my account. Initial discussions and consultations are free and no deposit is required until an order is actually placed.



If an order is cancelled before any materials have been purchased, or any work started, then a full refund of the deposit paid will be given. Please note that work will start on elements of most cakes at least 2 weeks in advance of the required date, and for cakes that include sugar flowers etc or other complicated/intricate elements this could be as much as 4-6 weeks in advance but this will be discussed with you at the time of ordering. Once materials have been purchased or work has begun, then the 50% deposit paid becomes non-refundable. If a cake order is cancelled within 2 days of collection/delivery then payment of the full cost quoted at time of ordering is payable. Placing an order indicates that these terms and conditions are agreed.

However, I understand that sometimes life can throw a spanner in the works. If you think you need to cancel an order at the last minute, please call to discuss the situation. In the case of wedding cakes, I always recommend that couples take out wedding insurance to cover any unforeseen events.
